Wedding Information, Terms & Condtions

Bookings and Deposits

Confirmation of your booking is required by paying a deposit of $1,500.00 thereby ensuring endorsement of your booking date.

Cancellations

If an event is cancelled over three months in advance deposits are refundable less a 10% fee for handling. The deposit is non-refundable in the event of event cancellation under three months.

Balance Payment and Final Numbers

The account balance including all charges incurred during the function is payable the day after the function.

We require that final numbers be confirmed fourteen (14) days prior to the function. This will be the minimum number of guests you will be charged for on the final account.

Accommodation

We require all of our accommodation for the evening of the reception to be booked by the wedding party. Weddings held on Saturday evenings require all nine apartments to be booked for both Friday and Saturday nights. The customer is liable for the cost of any accommodation left unfilled. All accommodation is inclusive of a continental breakfast.

Prices

The price per head will be sent to you on inquiry.

Car Parking

Minimal parking is available at the restaurant. We suggest the use of mini buses available for hire in Apollo Bay, contact details can be provided upon request.

Deliveries / Rehearsals / Entertainment

Guests undertake to avoid interruptions to normal trade. Please organise deliveries during non-trading hours of 3pm-5pm and 9pm-11pm.

Sound checks must be done prior to commencement of the function and it is advisable that entertainment groups be fully set up ½ hour before the function is due to start

A large area is available for bands and DJ's, but is compromised as the function size increases. While we can recommend entertainment, it is contracted and paid for by the customer. Band members can be provided with a main course meal at a cost of $40 per person and beverages at bar prices. Chris's has its own stereo system and if CDs or MP3's are supplied, we are happy to play them for you.

Inclusions

Weddings at Chris's Beacon Point Restaurant include the following:

  • 7 hour exclusive use of Chris's Beacon Point Restaurant (5pm – 12am).
    Please note that all guests need to have vacated by midnight due to licensing conditions.
  • Chef's selection of canapés on arrival
  • Guests choice of three entrees
  • Guests choice of three main meals
  • Chef's selection of dessert canapés
  • Side dishes served with main meals
  • Tables are served freshly baked bread rolls, Greek olives and olive oil
  • Freshly ground espresso coffee and an assortment of teas at the conclusion of dinner
  • Cake table with white linen and silver cake knife
  • Provision of crisp white double linen covers and napkins, polished cutlery and wine glasses and candles on all tables
  • Assistance from Functions Coordinator

Cocktail Functions

We do not offer cocktail functions at Chris's Restaurant.

Minimum Numbers

To use the premises exclusively a minimum of 70 guests or equivalent tariff is charged. Chris's is unavailable for receptions in December, January and all long weekends including Melbourne Cup and Easter. Exclusive use for an evening function also requires booking out all of our accommodation. (A two night minimum on Saturday evenings applies to evening receptions). Confirmation of Numbers and Menu

Confirmation of the final number of guests is required fourteen (14) days prior to the function date. At the conclusion of the function the confirmed number of guests will be used to calculate the account.

Menu and beverage choices are required four (4) weeks prior to the function date to ensure availability of all produce.

Table Sizes / Decoration

The number of guests per table can vary between six and twelve - this will depend on your final guest numbers. When you do get to this stage, begin placing your guests into possible groups, together we will arrange a table plan that best suits both you and us. No table need be the same, however they are all rectangular. The tables are laid with crisp white double linen covers and napkins, polished cutlery and wine glasses.

You are welcome to provide other decorations such as flowers, candelabras, bonbonerie, menu and place cards to suit the theme of your wedding.

Dietary Options

Vegetarian and other dietary requirements can be catered to in the menu or selected to be served to specific guests only.

Children's Meals

Children under the age of 12 can be served a main course and dessert at a cost of $40 per child.

Wedding Cake

Chris's Restaurant will cut and plate your wedding cake for service with coffee or bag if bags are provided.
